At the 2019
Sydney Quilt Show, attendees would have undoubtedly seen Catherine
Butterworth’s Best of Show winning quilt ‘Star Crazy’. Hopefully they also
viewed twelve of Catherine’s quilts which were hanging as her Special
Presenter’s retrospective exhibit.
So how does
Catherine come up with her quilt designs? Come along to the 7th
March 2020 Quilt Study Group meeting where Catherine will share the different
methods she uses to design a quilt that have served her well over the past
years.
The talk will
start at 2pm at a new venue - the Theatrette on Level 2 of the Powerhouse
Museum, 500 Harris Street, Ultimo. The MAAS cafe near the entry to the Museum
and the Junction Cafe on Level 1 are both open on the weekend.
For access
information, including reduced parking fees nearby on the weekend, see
Entry to the Powerhouse Museum is free if you are
coming to the QSG talk.
Please encourage everyone you know who is interested in quilting to come
along to the Quilt Study Group of NSW talks. Quilt NSW Guild members pay $5, non-guild
members pay $10 for the talk. Check the Quilt NSW website or the latest
Template Newsletters for more details.
